Jessica Howarth

I’m Jess Howarth.

I earned my Doctor of Physical Therapy degree in 2013 and completed a neurorehabilitation residency in 2014. My early career in physical therapy was spent in inpatient rehabilitation and research settings, providing interventions aimed at helping patients regain function after sustaining neurologic injuries. I briefly left the clinic for a corporate job, which ended with debilitating chronic neck pain. As I was recovering, I was introduced to...Dr. Michelle Weiner. whom recommended I read “The Body Keeps the Score” by Bessel Van Der Kolk. This conversation and book were my introduction to modern pain science and somatic work. They helped me understand the role someone with my educational background could play in the psychedelic integration space for chronic pain. I have since dedicated my time to studying psychedelic preparation and integration, psychedelic neuroscience, modern pain science, and serving clients with chronic pain. I also became certified as a master clinician in Pain Reprocessing Therapy.

My Philosophy

You are the medicine. I’m here to guide and help clients tap into their own internal healer. Psychedelics like ketamine do work on a physiologic level to reduce pain temporarily, but they also help you see things from a different perspective, expand your consciousness, and open your mind up to new possibilities. This can have tremendous impacts on a person’s capacity to heal from the inside out with the right support. Healing isn’t about intensity, it’s about consistency. This work involves changing your thoughts, beliefs, behaviors, and habits around your pain consistently over time to create new neural pathways.

About Me

I’m a proud mom, a Florida native, and a lifelong learner. I’m usually reading at least three books, always have a podcast queued up, and have a never-ending wishlist of trainings, conferences, and retreats I plan to attend. For fun I enjoy yoga, concerts, and traveling to new places.
